An important aspect of many heritage projects, such as planning studies, large public infrastructure initiatives, and cemetery investigations, is public consultation. ASI is experienced in the area of stakeholder consultation and has designed and implemented such programs for both the private and public sectors.

We are leaders in establishing consultation programs with appropriate First Nations to ensure that consultation is effective and inclusive. We have coordinated, for example, programs centred on various Environmental Assessments, such as the Central Pickering Development Plan, Official Plan Reviews such as York Region's OP Review and Archaeological Management Plan and special projects such as the Shared Path Commemoration Project along the Humber River for Heritage Toronto. We have on many occasions participated in discussions regarding disposition agreements for Aboriginal and early European cemeteries.
